Yik Yak sort of reminds me of the days when I used FML, an anonymous feed to display the trivial issues people dealt with every day. It was fun, goofy and either relatable or completely far-fetched and ridiculous. Yik Yak allows anonymous users to post short “Yaks” to reach any user within a 5-mile radius, similar to FML but on a smaller, more precise scale. The app is perfect for school campuses, where students can connect and post about school events and common interests.
